Day traders have their information sources and like to set up the most important information for the day ahead, or even the week ahead. Key dates such as the Federal Reserve meetings are crucial to trading expectations. CPI data, NFP, Jobless report, these dates and times need to be marked into a calendar so you can plan your trading day in advance.
Using this planner, you set your upcoming earnings in your chosen stocks. You can mark a day to avoid trading, or mark down market holidays, or high volatility days.
You can write down current market concerns, such as war, inflation, and other factors. You set the Fed expectations, and then you create a game plan.
The trade log book is specially designed to make trade logging very fast and very easy to use.
You can use it as a day trading log book, or a swing trading log book, or even for longer term investing. You can also use it for multiple instruments, whether stocks, basic options, futures, forex, crypto or microcaps.
Each trade has an open datetime and a close daytime, so you can mark down overnight trades or just trade intraday.
A winning trade can just be ticked off with the checkbox, so that you can immediately spot the winning trades later on. There is also a field for your brokerage, so you can use multiple brokers/accounts, and mark down this information in a concise way.
Plus, of course all of the other usual fields, symbol name, market name (e.g. NYSE or Nasdaq or Forex), trade size – contracts, stocks bought and your final profit and loss on this trade.
You have the option to set a date for the entire page if that’s what you prefer. Or just to record all trades.
Other books did not make me happy, they always lacked something, or were too short. or too complex.
